ABOUT
OUR SCHOOL
Channahon Junior High School
houses 7th & 8th grade
students. Our classes begin at 7:53 a.m. and
students are dismissed at 2:33/2:39. Students
can enter the building at 7:30 and proceed to
the multipurpose room (cafeteria).
The secretarial staff is
available from 7:30 – 3:30. Please be sure to
call in your absences and homework requests
first thing in the morning. If a student is not
called in, the parents/guardian will be
contacted at home or work.
All students not involved in
clubs or athletic practices must go home after
school. Students involved in extra curricular
activities are required to go home if an
event/activity begins after 4:00, unless
supervision by the coach or moderator is
available.
Phone use by students at the
Junior High is for emergency use only. Teachers
are available during their plan periods and
after school until 3:20. Any concerns with the
classroom, please contact the teacher
first.
There are many extra curricular
activities available for the students; some
require tryouts. We encourage all students to
get involved in the extra activities available.
Activities, athletic events, and other important
information is available in the weekly Indian
Letter. Please ask your student to bring it home
on Thursday.
